Yet another case of a high-profile celeb burglary in the San Fernando Valley — only this time, somebody got seriously injured, and now the stakes have been raised!
Hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd were staying at a home in the Valley this week when, on Saturday morning at about 4:30 a.m., the place was apparently burglarized, according to reports in TMZ.
Per the reports, at least four masked, armed robbers stormed the home at 4:30 a.m. this morning, with two apparently knocking on the front door.
A security guard answered the door, and when he did, he was pistol whipped by the burglars, who then stormed into the home and demanded to be taken to the safe in the house.
They ended up stealing the entire safe and fleeing before the LAPD could arrive.
As for Rae Sremmurd, it appears Slim Jxmmi was home at the time of the break-in; per reports, Swae Lee was not around. Aside from the security guard, it’s unclear if anybody else was injured — but the guard’s injury itself is a big deal, as al of these break-ins had thus far had no injuries or violence before this morning.
Cops aren’t sure what was in the safe; they are currently investigating, but it’s unclear if they have any leads.
Swae and Jxmmi had apparently been staying temporarily in the house — which doubles as a recording studio — but no word on whether the home was targeted because they were there, or if the duo’s presence was coincidental.
Regardless, the stakes have just been raised on this whole thing, and it’s starting to get scary.
